Ploughs
Tillers are generally robust machines for heavy duty purposes. They can be divided into two categories: the primary machines, such as ploughs, which can penetrate deep into the soil, and with which the soil can be churned, and the secondary machines, such as rakes, hoes, and vaporisers, used to process the surface of the land.
Primary machinesThe plough, for example, falls under the primary machines. In agriculture, a plough is used to prepare the soil for use, especially for sowing. Due to improved techniques, and using tractors, thousands of acres of land can nowadays be ploughed in a single day. Tillers are getting larger and more efficient and can generally work both forwards and backwards. Often, they are fitted with rotating blades, which allow large quantities of soil to be churned in short periods of time. There are many different applications around for tillers. Ploughing and harrowing, for example, are done when preparing the soil for sowing. While a stubble plough with multiple sheers can penetrate deeper into the soil.
Secondary machinesSecondary tillers, such as rakes, hoes, and vaporisers can also be found on Tradus. Just like primary machines, they are separate components which can be attached to a tractor, to then be used in processing soil. Rakes and hoes however, are more suitable for work on the surface, rather than deep in the soil.
Range on TradusA wide range of used tillers can be found on Tradus. Ploughs, harrows, hoeing machines, cultivators, rollers, and presses of various makes are regularly offered. The recurring makes of tillers include Kverneland, Lemken, Kuhn, Gruber, Amazone, Väderstad and many other makes.
