Tipper/dumper semi-trailer

A tipper/dumper semi-trailer consists of a cab and chassis, with an open container on top of the bed. The semi-trailer has no front wheels, but commonly four to six back wheels and can only be used if it is connected to a motorised vehicle, for example the tractor part of a truck. Another option is to have a truck pull a semi-trailer using a trailer dolly, which is a detachable front-axle assembly. Loose material, such as gravel or sand, is commonly transported and deposited in a tipper/dumper semi-trailer.
